  • The Floating Villages of Cambodia

One of my favorite parts of our trip to Cambodia was taking a riverboat down the Tonle Sap river to see the floating villages. It's pretty simple. It's a bunch of houses that float. They've even got floating storefronts and a floating school, along the way we even picked up a small family who had too many things in their own boat, so by giving a few of them a lift, it eased the weight and allowed them to get home quicker. I generally like being on the water, but the sun setting on the way back made it even better. They even let me drive for a bit. I tried not to hit the locals.
