Bangkok Fights

On the first night of my trip to Thailand, we went to watch the fights. It was a typical Thursday night crowd. White tourists were up front (including me) while the locals cheered from behind the fence. The boxers were mostly young boys, but they fought with heart. And when all was said and done they hugged it out. Thanked each other and then thanked the crowd. I ran into one of the fighters in the washroom right after his bout. He couldn't have been more than 14 or 15. He was checking out the new battle wound he had earned above his left eye and he was proud of it. He also seemed unphased by the 15 minute beating he had just taken. It was actually quite humbling and then I remembered I had to piss.

In case you missed it. Here is the film.
