It began innocently enough with two girls named Lauryn and Erica, who bonded at a Behemoth concert when their lead singer Nergal, spit fake blood all over them. It was the beginning of a beautiful friendship—and the start of a very long art project for me.

While you will normally find corpse-painted, sullen dudes frolicking through cold Norwegian forests in the world of Black Metal photography. I thought we could use more women who were also fans of Carl's Jr. As an homage to the true spirit of the genre, I've shot a good portion of this project using expired film and polaroid, shooting several formats and trying to keep things lofi. There was so much more than what remains here today, but again, even that feels Black metal as Fuck.
